T100e Care Shower
The design
Typically we would carry out reseach with representative users but an equally valid approach is to consult with expert groups. In this case we worked with a disability charity who specialise in providing furniture and domestic appliances for the disabled and elderly.
The result is a shower with high legibilty and tactile graphics, easy-to-use controls and a temperature limited thermostat. The housing styling is mainstream and contemporary.
Designing with experts
Our philosophy when designing products is that, whenever possible, they should be accessible to all.
Our approach to the design of the Triton T100e Care Shower was that it should be appealing to and accessible by disabled and able bodied users alike.
The challenge
Triton required a new electric shower for their Care Shower range as suitable for installation in a domestic bathroom as in a care home. The design needed to be accessible to both physically and visually impaired users.
